Worn Brake Rotor
Basic Description
The disc brake system consists mainly of a brake caliper, brake pads, and a brake rotor.
Technical Description
The friction between the brake pad and the disc brake can result in the rotor becoming worn over time. When grooves develop in the rotor, brakes become much more likely to squeal when they are applied. When pads are replaced and the disc is found to be grooved, the disc should be replaced.
